Tuesday morning, well before the sun came up, Hadley and I made our way to Georgetown Hospital to get some shiny new hot pink ear tubes. Hadley was AMAZING leading up to surgery, Mommy was a wreck in the operating room, and life returned to normal very soon after! The biggest takeaway is that she "can hear EVERYTHING," as she tells anyone she sees these days.
In her self described "silly outfit with no underwear" playing with some toys before surgery
Bless her sweet little heart. Best patient EVER!
Wearing my snazzy cap and getting checked out by 1 of the many doctors, nurses, and med students who listened to her heart, looked in her ears, weighed her, and took her blood pressure that morning
Go time!
This is basically where Mommy started getting nervous. Followed quickly by big tears in the operating room, as I held Hadley while she slipped under sedation. Not a pleasant experience for a mother!
10 minutes after first coming out from being under anesthesia she was right back to sleep.
We spent a good amount of time in recovery like this. She was very groggy, and a little nauseous.
Dressed and ready for one last check before we hit the road!
And a few days later it was all smiles in our house....this is what happens when Mommy loses sight of her cell phone for a while.
