And this was February...

Where the heck did February go?!  HOLY COW!  So when mama's business is going gang busters, the blog suffers.  Add to that a trip to Dallas for 5 days and host duties for a big best friend send off party, BUT, not blogging for the entire month of February is just plain unacceptable, so here goes (3 days past month's end, but who's counting!)...

As is common these days, here are the highlights:

Had's friend Clara's 5th birthday party kicked things off.  Pool parties in the winter are AWESOME!  Enjoy this slow motion pummeling I caught on my phone!

Safe and sound

Incoming!

WHAM!

Complete beat down.
And she repeated this series at least 30 times...

VALENTINE'S DAY!!

There was an absurd amount of candy doled out on Valentine's Day, so we got an early start chipping way at it.

Surprise lunch downtown with Daddy!

Hadley declared during this lunch that she was going to eat cheeseburgers every day, forever.  5 Guys has that effect on people.

As do french fries and ice cream.

Disney on Ice!
Gigi and Papa gave us tickets for Christmas and the day finally arrived.  We didn't tell Hadley what we were doing so she was excited out of her mind when we walked in!

Harper, on the other hand, totally panicked, burst into tears, and begged for us to go home.  15 minutes later her survival skills kicked in and she passed out completely on my chest for the entire first half.

Queen of Hearts

Tinkerbell!

Hads watching Peter Pan fight Captain Hook

REALLY glad Harper slept through the part where the giant crocodile came out and gobbled up Captain Hook!

AWAKE, and can't believe what she's missed!

Aladdin and Jasmine

Our family favorite, and the one who started it all, Ariel!

Grand finale with everyone who's someone in the Disney Princess world.  It was spectacular!

Hadley celebrated the 100th school day of the year with a hand made tee-shirt design and glasses.  And Harper chose not to wear a skirt over her tights.

Spending their Valentine's Day money from Gigi and Papa

28 degrees can't stop us from getting out for some fresh air...naturally I ended up carrying all of our waters AND both dolls, but I was the smart one who didn't throw a hissy fit about wearing gloves, I was perfectly fine!

In from the cold + hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows

PUPPET SHOW TIME!
Grandmommy and Granddaddy got the girls this amazing puppet show set and HOURS are spent performing for us, which is so much fun.

3 Little Pigs

Goldilocks

Captive audience

Little Red Riding Hood

Sisters getting into the act

A little homemade puppetry from our resident artist

Daddy's home in time for the teeny finale

I could watch them do this all day long!

And in between all this fun...we got a little crazy in honor of my best friend's big move to Colorado next month.  Such a bitter sweet occasion for us.  Sad and scary being away from each other for the first time since college, but such an exciting adventure for them!  XOXO

And then it was back to building castles for Ariel :)

Hadley beat every other kid at her class bowling party.  She was a total ringer, hitting strike after strike.  Everyone was amazed, but seriously?  Bumpers on the gutters and this weird ramp thing that literally does all the work for you.  Hadley and I couldn't figure out why everyone thought this was so hard!  We're going to run with this and we think we've found her sport ;)

This ACTUALLY happened today, in MARCH, but I figured I should go ahead and post it, just in case.
The sweet little guy up top, AJ, is Hadley's classmate who just lost his sweet big sister, Bella, a few weeks ago.  There was no way we were missing his party, despite having attending the EXACT same party at the same firehouse just yesterday.  He's too special of a kid not to celebrate!

Bringing a little sparkle to the fire house

My teeniest fire fighter, standing back not wanting to impose...well, just being plain old shy, actually.

Harper and Ariel in the Captain's chair

And LOVING it!

The Yummy End.
