Try to keep up...

Wow, and just like that 2 weeks fly by!  Summer seems to be in fast forward for the Griffin ladies, who have been busy busy with friends, family, and FUN!  Here's what they've been up to lately:

Rub-a-dub-dub, 3 ladies in the tub!
Our dear friend, Katie Burt, dropped in for a bath!

Hadley was so excited to take the lead when it came to Katie's entertainment and overall bathing.

She also served as head stylist for the evening.

One of MANY pics Steph and I will love showing the girls when they're all grown up...and fighting with each other as teenagers ;)

A visit from Grandmommy!!

Which turned competitive.
First with a planking contest...

...and then a pirate face off!

Armed with a "wife beater" tank top and a black wrist band with a skull and crossbones, Hadley showed off her bear crawl at CrossFit kids.

Livi needed a moment with her Mama.
As hard as it is for Hads to see Mama Karen as Coach Karen, it's even harder for her actual kids.

Jumping Jacks

Brenty was the next to fall.

A future CrossFit Kids athlete plots her workout while Hads tumbles in the background.

This week I decided it would be fun to put together a To Do list of activities that we would commit to partaking in before winter rolls around and tries to steal our fun away.  Some are old favorites and others will be completely new for the girls.  So far we've checked off 3, so we've got a ways to go!

First to do was painting rocks.  The girls LOVED this!  And we'll be doing it again soon, since Daddy turned the sprinkler on and all the paint washed off.  Oops!

Harper has been having a BALL at Gymboree (clearly)...

...but poor sweet Hads is stuck sitting in the corner since she's got nowhere else to go!  Either I need to clone myself, or school needs to start!

This next sequence was just too precious not to show in its entirety.   Hads was playing in the basement, I was sitting in the dining room on the computer, and Harper was walking back and forth between the kitchen and the living room.  It wasn't until I looked up that I realized she had assembled an elephant, baby doll, and pony, along with 4 sippy cups, the tortellini from the refrigerator, and a fork, and was one-by-one feeding everyone!

Pretending to grab some pasta...

...feeding the elephant...

...then the baby doll.

Soon it was time for some water...

...and then a little milk!

And the entertainment didn't stop when it was dinner time!

Harper did NOT appreciate being asked to "just TRY the broccoli for Mama!!"

A cheese stick appeased her, but she kept her eye on that broccoli.

This morning Daddy took his ladies out for pancakes.
And Cookie Monster got to come along too.  Although perhaps Cookie Monster had a late night, because he's blatantly face down and falling off the table.

Then off to Old Town to feed the ducks.

So much sister lovin!

After naps we decided to check off another activity on our To Do list:

BOWLING!

Getting a little instruction from Mama on her very first bowl.

And then from Daddy on attempt #2.
After that she was on her own!

Harper's turn to take a stab at it.  While she lacked the strength required to propel the ball down the alley, she was REALLY good at counting 1-2-3 for us!

She looks like an infant in this picture!

Cautious little bowler and her Daddy

Hadley on her own...and with her own style!

Hands on hips: Not the way older bowlers stand when they are trying to will the ball to go one way or the other...in Hadley's case it just took SOOO LONG for the ball to make it down the alley, that eventually you stood there with your hands on your hips and your toes tapping!

"I'll just sit here and eat some fries until the ball reaches the pins."

I'm already pushing for her 6th birthday to be a bowling party...I mean, look how cute this is!!

Back home and time to cross of our 3rd activity on the To Do list: Setting the table

So proud of herself!
