Introducing: Wrigley!

After one night of sleep post-Charleston, it was yet another day off from school for another exciting reason...we were hitting the road for Delaware to go pick up our furry addition: a 9 week old English Yellow Labrador that Daddy named Wrigley Go CUBS!)!  Mama Karen and Livi came with us because Livi legitimately didn't have school and we needed another adult to hold Wrigley for his first car ride ever.  And a surprising thing happened....

Upon arrival the girls were instantly taken with the 6 sweet girls they saw on the other side of the fence.  3 sets of sisters, kept by the breeder from previous litters, including Wrigley's mother, Violet (far left yellow).

Meeting their new puppy!

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!

A love story 3 years in the making.

And they were best friends from that moment on.

Mama Karen couldn't get enough Wrigley snuggles...until the breeder brought us over to see the rest of the litter.

Wrigley, right, seemingly looking into a mirror, but in fact just across the kennel from one of his sisters.  They were all identical!

That's when this little lady curled up with Mama Karen and Livi...and the rest was history!

Harper introducing herself to a very sleepy Isabella (Izzy for short, named by Livi).

Two best friends bringing home brother and sister.
Perfect.

Saying goodbye to their mama

Two sets of puppy dog eyes when being told they cannot in fact ride home 2.5 hours like this.

And pour on the cuteness...

Typical brother move to lay on his sleeping sister's head

And typical sister lovingly resting her head on her brother despite the earlier smothering

Wrigley meeting Daddy!

It was a big day for the little guy...he was beat, but we were still bursting with excitement!

Time for bed

The love fest with these two continued the next day with kisses...

...and eventually trying to bury him in the pile of leaves with her.

My assistant...who is not very helpful.

Harper usually insists on being fully dressed for the day before going downstairs, but that all changes when you have someone so fun to see!

Like a newborn, those first few days were very very sleepy.

Hads is a HIT when she gets on and off the bus these days as all of the kids press their faces against the windows to get a glimpse of this cuteness.

As we promised the pups, they would get to see each other EVERY day...which is easy, considering that's how often Karen and I see each other.  This was the first time they had seen each other since being apart for the first time overnight.  They went CRAZY!  It was so so awesome. The kids were freaking out, thinking they were hurting each other, but despite the full speed tackles, body slams and gnawing of fur, not a single yelp was released.  They were in heaven!

KK has pledged to bring the twinners over daily to help them with their fear of dogs.  Harris is well on his way to getting over it but Caroline still panics.

The result that night during the girls' baths was awesome...

...and it stayed that way.
