In an effort to beat this absurd heat, the girls and I packed up and joined some fossilized friends at the Natural History Museum last Thursday. It was Harper's first time really being able to check out the dinos and the mammal exhibit, and she was squealing and jumping up and down the whole time! Hadley was so excited to be able to tell her all that she has learned on her countless trips to the museum with Daddy.
On Saturday, Hadley went to her first CrossFit Kids class!! She's the CrossFit family guinea pig, and thanks to the fun she had with her friends, Livi and Brent, and "Coach" (Mama) Karen, I'm now signed up. I don't think they do the bunny hop in the adult classes though...
A little dry erase art before the rest of the kiddos arrive.
Brent, Hads, Livi, cool kid with a Mohawk...lots of new friends!
First tumbling run under Coach Karen's direction
Hads proving she does in fact have some ups. We were previously under the impression that jumping with any height was not something at which she excelled.
Hadley's first cartwheel instruction
We've got some work to do!
Second tumbling pass
Another successful jump.
Mommy should stop making fun of her jumping ability now!
Again, work to be done here.
Learning to squat, so she can have strong legs like Coach Karen
She'll get there...
Not sugar coating the truth for the kids one bit!
BIG ups required for this feat. Not sure Mommy could even do this without a little help and some seriously poor form!
Out little neat nick, helping one of the coaches clean up while the other kids took a water break. Uh-oh...hydrate or die!
Bear crawlin
Getting ready for a fierce game of Duck, Duck, Goose
Had's picked her coach, showing some serious confidence in her speed ability.
He let her win...this time
Class photo!
Reward stickers for being such a tough little CrossFitter
And thank you high Five's for the coach!
Can't wait for next class!
