Second to telling Hadley that she wouldn't be able to build a snowman was telling her that there wasn't enough soft snow to make snow angels.
Bless her little heart. She tried anyway!
Harper just laughed from her swing.
"Look Mom, no hands!!"
Passing the torch.
We were the ones who told Hadley about how yummy eating snow can be.
Now it's her job.
"Hey! Bring that back here!"
**ACTUAL QUOTE FROM HADLEY**
"Harper, doesn't God make the yummiest snow?"
Probably thinking this would have been slightly more enjoyable had this actually been snow, and not ice off the bricks from the front entryway.
That afternoon we headed to the Natural History Museum, with a quick short cut through the Sculpture Garden. Hadley took off immediately, heading straight for her favorite metal tree.
On the other hand, we just took our sweet time getting there.
"CAN YOU GUYS SEE THIS FROM BACK THERE?!"
Taking matters into her own hands, Hadley decided to run back and personally escort her poky sister to the metal tree.
Inside, the giant elephant stole the show.
"Mommy! Look at the girl lion and the big black whatchamacallit playing!"
"Wait, what?! They aren't playing?? Oh dear.."
"That's right, Dora. Let's just move over here where no one is trying to eat anyone else."
