Not a bad way to spend a month!

Hadley and I got back from Florida this week, and while it has been SUPER fun being home with Daddy and all of our friends, it must be said that our time in sunny Florida with our families was FANTASTIC! Grandmommy was running her annual 1/2 marathon in Sarasota and did a GREAT job, as usual. We spent a fun 10 days with Grandmommy and Granddaddy before heading to Bradenton to spend the rest of the time with Gigi, Papa, and Great-Grandmommy!! A special thank you to our amazing family for taking such good care of us when we need it the most :)

Here are the highlights from our trip:

Big girl in her own seat headed AWAY from the snow!

Shopping with Granddaddy at chilly but sunny St. Armands Circle

Getting a little scared by the sharks at Mote Marine Aquarium

Left to our own devices, Mommy and Hadley busted out an 80's dance party waiting for Grandmommy and Granddaddy to get back from the gym.

Some pre-race training on the beach

VICTORY!!

Waiting at Tampa Airport for Daddy to arrive!!

All dressed for the annual bash at Gigi and Papa's house

NUDE FOOD!

Papa sweetly serving as a seat for Hadley's cousin Cameron

"Here Hads, EAT IT!"

Precious cousin bonding

An early Easter Egg Hunt for the munchkins

Proudly showing off their findings

Digging into her goodies with Daddy...and teaching us a valuable lesson:
Never stuff eggs with black jelly beans. VERY messy in sweaty little hands!

Tubby time! Had's second co-ed tubby...eek!

After bath silliness with Cameron and Aunt Muffy

Story time before night-night

It's dark when we first see Grandmommy run by, because it's EARLY!!

"Is that who I think it is?!"

"RUN, GRANDMOMMY, RUN!!"

Uncle Frank and Freda jump into the race to give moral support for the final mile!

SURPRISE!
Papa, Gigi, and Izzy picked us up the next day and took us to lunch on their new boat!

Getting a tour of the new boat

So windy, so bumpy, and SO fun!

Gigi and Papa getting some instruction from the Captain

So happy with Papa :)

Out for sushi with Daddy, Gigi, and Mommy. Hadley dunked about 800 edamame in soy sauce. YUM ;)

BEACH!

Quick break for potato skins!

Dancing with some new friends at the free music class offered at our favorite children's book store and boutique.

Had was totally getting into it. So cute!

In addition to showing the kids a guitar, french horn, and citar, they also got a turn on the lap harp.

PROUD moment for the Griffin clan: Hadley eating her first Duffy's burger!

That can't be Hadley and Gigi saddled up at a BAR with all those men, can it? Nah!

So there's only one mother-daughter coupling here, but it's still 4 generations of ladies, which is pretty fabulous.

At the manatee museum in Bradenton
Had's face more adequately reflects the apprehension associated with posing in front of a GIANT set of shark teeth. Yikes.

Checking out all the goodies in the Discovery Room

Freaky red marble eye! Hadley isn't as big of a scaredy cat as Mommy though.

Ewwww

SNOOTY the manatee!! He's the big one on the top left. The only manatee born in captivity, he's 61 years old...which is about 12 times the normal life span of a manatee!

Had was totally captivated by the manatees eating their lettuce.

Lunch with Gigi the day before we leave

4 fantastic ladies in a goodbye snuggle!!
Yes, Mohika, you're included in that group :)
