Smooches and Surprises

A little behind in the weekly update this week, so lots to share from our gorgeous weekend and spur of the moment trip to Wilmington yesterday!

But first, here's a little Had with her most favorite toy on earth these days:

On Saturday morning, we kicked off the beautiful weekend with a little playdate with our buddy, Jake! We thought Hadley had already given her heart to Charles, but she wasn't exactly pushing Jake away when he went in for some lovin...

We never saw it coming...

...I mean, who makes a move when he's sitting on his mother's lap?!

S-M-O-O-T-H!

(stay tuned for video of just how fabulous those shoes are)

On Sunday my Dad injured himself playing tennis and as a result couldn't make our date at the Baltimore Aquarium that we had planned for Tuesday. So instead, Had and I packed our bags and headed to Wilmington to surprise him when he got back from his MRI!

Killing time waiting for Grandmommy and Granddaddy to come home...

This happened without me doing a thing...classic.

This ended in tears of utter stress and frustration.

The surprise went off without a hitch and everyone was SUPER excited to be together. Had slept great and the next morning she had a little pajama party with Granddaddy and the animals.

Had and Drift...or maybe that's Snow. I can't tell them apart. Both are bigger than Hadley though.

Such a tender moment

Did you think this wouldn't have made the trip?! She wouldn't have stood for that.

Coloring with Grandmommy...well, Hadley still hasn't really caught on to this, opting to just collect/break all the crayons she can. The scribbles are Grandmommy's. She's very talented.

Mama Phyllis came over for a visit with Had. We're SO excited she's going to be up in Maine with us this summer!

Peek-a-boo!
