On the Waterfront

On Monday Hadley found out that her buddy Olivia was going to be a big sister...this coming TUESDAY! Long story short: Olivia's adoption agency pitched her mom and dad to a mother looking for parents for her newborn without them knowing...and 3 weeks later all the paperwork was done and baby Brent was ready to be picked up! The next day Olivia hung out with Had for a few hours so her mommy could get some things done...and it turned into another crazy morning at the Griffin house:

Holding court at the jungle toy

Story time with Mama Sarah
(Olivia's first glimpse of life when she's not the only baby in the house!)

Mama KK dressed up a crabby Anna this morning in the hopes that "if she's dressed pretty, maybe she'll act pretty!"

Poor thing...so camera shy ;)

Organized chaos

Hadley stole Charles's vest, Olivia stole Had's sunglasses, and Charles threw Hadley's chair on the floor in protest. GOOD TIMES!

Fast forward to Friday: Hadley was called in to consult on Aunt Steph's wedding hair trial at Elizabeth Arden. A job she took very seriously!

Hmmm...tongue sticking out. What do you think that means? Luckily this was just a funny looking stage in the process and the end result was gorgeous!

"Hey good lookin!"

Saturday morning was overcast and a little misty, but we went to the DC marina to check out the fish market and take in a boat launching.

Had and Dad checking out the live crabs

Had and Mom sniffing some stinky fishies

Killing time just running through puddles waiting for the festivities to begin

Here Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, who was on hand to help christen the new boat, tries unsuccessfully to break the bottle.

Hadley thought that was really funny :)

On Sunday Daddy decided he needed to buy Had some toys, so off to Toy R Us we went.

Hads and Daddy playing with her new toys under the amazing cherry blossom tree that just started blooming in the front yard. It's GORGEOUS!

I'm seeing many walks to and from the playground with our new doll and stroller. More for me to take over when Hadley gets tired of walking after 3 blocks :)

I didn't realize we had a marina and fish market!
Love your captions, they make me smile.
And your very own cherry tree! What a nice bonus to the wonderful house, but then it is picture perfect, so is it any surprise that it would have a cherry tree?
