Kissing Consequences...

Life lessons are sometimes hard to learn...as Hadley found out when she let a little boy kiss her in the sandbox (as mom stood by in tears), and as a result caught the stomach flu. We cannot blame young Eli, but I'm ok if Hadley turns and runs the other direction from now on. According to the doctor, "all of Northern Virginia has it," so apparently little Eli has been making the rounds. Thankfully we only had one rough night and Hadley is doing much better.

Today we tried out a new church within walking distance to the house and LOVED it! It was also, embarrassingly enough, Hadley's first experience in a church nursery. She didn't miss us one bit and when we went to pick her up after the service she was standing up against a little activity table playing quietly by herself. So proud. She did, however, manage to swipe a toy truck that we found in her bag when we got home. Oops....

Some playroom fun with Dad: This is Dad and Had's new favorite game, which I'm referring to as "Rug Burn." Had sweetly tries to come crawling to Mommy and Dad grabs her ankles and drags her back towards him. She LOVES it...although it's probably best done when she's NOT only wearing a tee shirt. Poor little tummy!

And then OUR favorite game...

Putting baseball hats on Hadley

Clearly Hadley does not enjoy this game as much as we do!

ha! i'm laughing about the truck she swiped. when we left church on sunday, i noticed mazie digging in her front pocket. i asked her what she was doing, and she pulled out a hotwheels car and said, oh-so-nonchalantly, "oh, there's a car in my pocket!"

yeah, i wonder how that got there?!
