Egbert is a GIRL! Our daughter was born on Monday at 5:06 p.m. After being induced and going through 3 hours of painful contractions I was given the epidural and sat back for what I thought would be about another 10 or so hours of painless labor. Instead, Hadley's little heartbeat started doing funny things with every contraction and the doctors told us that she would not be able to handle labor after all. About 40 minutes later and one quick c-section, Aron was holding the most beautiful baby we'd ever seen. She weighed in at 7 pounds 15.7 ounces and is 19 and a half inches long. We are still in the hospital but will be discharged tomorrow morning, in time to be home for a big Thanksgiving meal with our parents. We have been truly blessed and we certainly have a LOT to be thankful for. Not the least of which is all of our friends who have sent flowers, stopped by, called, and sent such enthusiastic emails of support to us. We love you all so much. Stay tuned for pictures!
