SO very thankful that my mother's swan song as Chairperson of the E-Racing the Blues 5K/10K Charity race was NOT on Halloween this year, so we could attend and see all of her hard work come to fruition...and the weather held up, which was a plus! (Last year there was a Nor'easter, which prevented us from coming)
We rolled in the day before and as usual, we got down to usual business right away in the art studio...
Early wake up on Race Morning!
This year there was face painting, which was a fun touch!
And crafts...right up Had's alley!
And snacks...right up Harper's alley!
Posing with the race celebrity!
Fast forward to the final stretch "sprint"
Fierce competitors we are...
Post race stop at the Charcoal Pit with Granddaddy
Hot dog consumed...time to put french fry sailors in the boat
The Eagles were playing the Giants so we had to stay and watch the game!
While Hadley found and adopted, Christina, the woolly caterpillar...she came home with us, naturally.
