On your marks. Get set. GO!
Harper was the big winner...granted, her hiding place wasn't as complex as Hadley's.
That's my girl!
With a little guidance, Hadley found her basket...but then got stuck trying to get out of the corner.
"What took you so long?!"
Next up was officially digging into the overstuffed Easter basket from Grandmommy and Granddaddy!
Candy and games, oh my!
Harper had all she needed in that bunny. Poor guy didn't stand a chance.
Trying on gifts from Grammy!
Chocolate...
Another hit from Grammy :)
Movies from Grammy! Harper was very excited to open these.
Then it was off to church! Harper lasted a full 15 minutes in the nursery before we saw her number flash across the wall, alerting us that she needed to be picked up. She was not amused that Mama was gone all weekend and then just when she got back she handed her off to a stranger. So Harper, Daddy, and I attended the rest of the service in the family room :)
Following church we had a lovely family lunch together...until the Easter Bunny showed up...
Harper was NOT amused!
Full on trembling and sobbing. The sweet host kindly rerouted the Easter Bunny away from our table, so sadly Hadley didn't get a picture with him.
Safe in Daddy's arms...she still knew where he was at all times.
Thankfully a plate full of cucumbers and sausage kept the sting of not getting to meet the Easter Bunny from getting to her.
Big ol waffle calmed her down.
Then we quickly zipped home to meet up with the Urban Family for our annual egg hunt! The mamas and the kids hung out on the front porch while the Daddies hid the eggs.
Harper was not about to let go of her basket and throw her hands in the air.
Nor was she a party to making funny faces.
All intensity. Ready to hunt some eggs!
Papa Pete arrives and promptly announces, "Let the 2012 Hunger Games begin!"
The second the horn blows and all of the kids race off in every direction to find eggs Harper grabs one last excited leg snuggle from Daddy before joining the hunt.
And just like that it's over....plenty of eggs still left to be found, but someone discovered a piece of chocolate in one of them.
Do I have something on my face?
Time to bounce!
Another happy Easter came to a close with 2 happy, sweaty, tired, and over-sugared little girls!
