Lots to share this Easter season!

It feels like weeks have gone by, but that's just because SO much has happened in a week's time!

1) Grandmommy came to town to help out while Mommy had some minor surgery (some precancerous moles removed).
2) Hadley inexplicably woke up last Saturday deciding that "you" should now be pronounced, "jew," which as you can imagine caused some initial giggles, followed by constant and ongoing correcting...
3) Harper said her first word: Dada!! Yes, she meant it! And no, Mommy couldn't pretend like it didn't happen because Daddy and Hadley were there to witness it.
4) The Griffin girls took a mini vacation to Grandmommy and Granddaddy's new house in Chadds Ford where they slept like rock stars, dyed eggs, baked cookies, visited the zoo, and had an all-around GREAT time!
5) Harper got dropped off at the church nursery for the first time and cried for 30 straight minutes before the sweet nursery volunteers called for us to pick her up.
6) Aunt Steph, Uncle Jason, and Katie came over for a decadent Easter lunch.
7) Hadley cleaned up and Harper poured on the charm at the 2nd annual urban family egg hunt!

Are you ready for this cuteness??? Here we go!!!

Because all you can do is shrug when you still fit into infant pom pom socks!

Bath time bubbles on the baby

A bubble tiara for our little princess

Some forced snuggling for their eager photo-happy Mommy and Grandmommy

ARG!!

Hadley watching intently as our front door goes from green to red.

It gets her seal of approval!
(The dress looks PRECIOUS on her, Gigi!)

Harper's favorite morning perch: Granddaddy's lap, Chadds Ford, PA

Egg dying, Round 1

BIG Connect Four, little munchkins

Off to the zoo!

The highlight of the Wilmington zoo...baby goats. Hey, it's Wilmington. What do you expect!?

At least the girls had a blast. Grandmommy on the other hand has made us promise to take her to the National Zoo again SOON to see some real animals!

Snuggles to melt your heart

Tiana dress on, ready to roll some dough.

Wardrobe change, assistant in place, time to decorate the cookies! As Granddaddy pointed out, they looked less like lambs, chicks, and bunnies, and more like different internal organs.

But with enough icing they ALL taste delicious!

No exaggeration, she took this very seriously and stood there for almost an hour intently decorating her cookies.

With icing, more is ALWAYS better. One of the many valuable lessons I am proud to teach Hadley.

Back home for a weekend family trip to Old Town.

Trying to feed the ducks and geese before those vile seagulls swoop in to steal their treats.

Daddy and dimples watching the action.

Egg dying, Round 2

She loves her eggs...although that IS Mommy's fancy egg she's kissing. Just saying...

Voila!
All of her eggs adorned with her Tinkerbell and Friends stickers

Easter morning! Hadley hunted down her hidden Easter basket and screamed with delight at her new dolls and Tinkerbell movie.

Helping Harper open her wee little Easter basket

No use for candy just yet. But plenty of use for Easter cards. Yummy!

Family pics before we head off to church!

Sweet Harper, so excited and happy as she walks into church with Daddy. Little did she know we were going to desert her moments later!!

Time to EAT! Katie and Harper were good babies and slept the whole time so we could all stuff our faces full of brown sugar bacon, cheese grits, biscuits and gravy, salmon and mushroom frittata, cupcakes, and champagne!

Charles's grandmother, Oma, proving to us that the nursery volunteers at church must have been big meanies since Harper was more than content in her arms for a half an hour!
(Just kidding about the volunteers being meanies. They were wonderful.)

Little egg hunters waiting for the Daddies to hide the goods

And she's off!

"Let me in there, Daddy! I want some candy!!!"

Hadley strapped on Charles's Darth Vader belt and chased the boys around the yard.

Beer....yuuummmy. How else do you think she gets those sexy legs?!

Mama's golden egg holding her own golden egg! Hadley found TWO eggs with dollar bills in them...SCORE!

With the girls fast asleep, the April skies opened up and dumped hail all over the place. Quite an exciting end to a very fun Easter!
