Halloween 2010

Halloween was SOOOOO much fun!!! I honestly wish it came twice a year! Hadley was a HIT in her Little Mermaid costume, and proudly wore that wig and that smile ALL weekend long. On Friday she got to wear her costume to school and have a little class party and school parade. Harper donned her zebra costume for the occasion as well (and because she's already busting out of size 0-3 month so she needed to get all the wear out of it that she could!).

Heading into school

Party time!
Mommy, Daddy, and Izzy got to come check out the classroom cuteness

The whole Busy Bee class at snack time

That smile means only one thing: DADDY!!!

Nothing against Caroline's Ariel costume, but it's clear Hadley came to win!

Parade Princess

Friday night Pizza Night at Mama Sarah's house to cap off a fabulous day and kick off Halloween weekend!

And the best part was the Daddies were all able to join in the fun!

Charles and Mimi snuggling with the cuddly zebra

And then Sunday was finally here!!!

We decided to have the neighborhood family over for a party and to fill the kids' bellies with some dinner before Trick or Treating began. Fun was had by ALL!

Ariel and Woody

Aunt Stephie and her sweet little sleepy giraffe

Somehow the first picture taken of the group was the best one! Except Brent was missing...

THERE'S the little Brent Spider (and Gavin, the Koala who lives next door)

Dinner time!

Besties, twice over :)

The Mummas!

And off they go!

Reason #876 why I love our urban family: Hadley can grab any of the Papas' hands and feel totally comfortable. Papa Joel does the honors of walking Hadley to Mama Sarah's house for a dry run.

Trick or Treat!

Daddy's turn to escort the Princess

We seriously didn't get very far without someone spotting that wig and calling out to Ariel. Hadley was in heaven!

Too cute for words

Woody escorting the ladies

Grayson was home after a diaper explosion compromised his lion costume, so Aron took his place in the hand holding lineup.

And one final scary house before it was time to go home and count our haul!

Best Halloween EVER was followed by most frightening night ever. Harper became really congested and appeared unable to clear her throat of the blockage while also exhibiting some very taxing breathing. A call to her doctor lead to a call to 911, which was very intense. Harper lost all color, but was breathing much better by the time the paramedics arrived. They checked her out and were on their way shortly after. Daddy set Mommy and Harper up in her room with the humidifier on blast and she was snoring like a chainsaw in no time. She had a follow up appointment with her doctor yesterday and a test for RSV came back negative, thank God. The diagnosis is just a really really wicked cold. She slept in her car seat in her crib last night for 2 really long stretches, and woke up all smiles and giggles. While she's still congested, she's handling it like Hadley always does...without any other indication that she's not feeling well. So hopefully she'll be 100% by Hadley's birthday party this weekend!
