At church this morning, Hadley was able to attend the service instead of hang out in the nursery because we went to the special family service. She not only behaved so well in the hour-long service, she participated! The pastor began the service reenacting the scene of discovering Jesus no longer lying in the tomb, at which point Hadley didn't hesitate to call out, "where'd Jesus go!?" He then ran out the door to go spread the news that Jesus was alive, but since he came back not in costume Hadley naturally thought he hadn't come back yet, and continued to ask "where did the man go? He went to go find Jesus?" Super cute. Over lunch after church we all tried to explain the story, that she can practically recite thanks to an Easter book from Grandmommy and Granddaddy, but after every attempt she would just look at us and say, "where'd Jesus go?!" Baby steps, I guess. She is proud to tell you though that "Jesus washed the disciples' feet...Jesus wasn't there...the disciples were sad...Jesus is alive!" So we're very proud of that :)
After church we got home and told Hadley that the Easter Bunny had hidden gifts for her in the house, so off she went.
Izzy came over and we headed off to Grayson's house for yet another Easter Egg Hunt with our best friends. Hadley was the clear winner with the biggest basket and the most practice. Olivia spent most of the time eating the candy she found in the first egg while her health-nut mom was busy at home with her littler brother, and the boys just ran around like...well, boys.
Livi explaining to her Daddy that she'd rather stand there and eat her candy than run around and collect any more eggs.
