It was a busy weekend of celebrating birthdays! We had three birthday parties to attend, and it somehow worked out that they were on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so we were able to make them all. In between birthday parties, there was a lot of Daddy and Hadley time, which included Story Time at Barnes and Noble (ok, I was there in the background for this one), breakfast at Eastern Market, and a Gymboree class.
The woman who led Story Time picked a couple of interesting books. The first was The Boy Who Cried Wolf, in which the wolf ate all of the people in the story. When one of the little boys asked the woman if wolves really ate people, she responded, "Well...they're wolves!" Ok, that's one way to answer that question....

Her second choice was a story about a monster who ate ants and lizards and a BEAR, all shown in his stomach, but then the monster eventually gets eaten by a lion. Lots of questions came up with this one.

After that appetizing story time, we went out to lunch and Hadley and Daddy shared some ice cream.

Post-nap cuteness :)

Sunday's birthday party was for Hadley's friend, Mason. It was perfectly themed for the weather and SO much fun!

Daddy attempting to get Hadley to go down the big slide...she's not so sure about it.

After a very unhappy first trip down the slide, I stepped in to try again a little while later. Still not amused one bit.

Pinata time!

Hads collecting some loot with Daddy's help once the pinata was decapitated by one of the big kids.
