Friday night was like any normal Friday night for Hadley...finished up dinner, went upstairs to play with Mommy's purses before her bath...
Got Daddy's shoes out of the closet and tried them on...
And then tried walking in them...
And then at 4:00 a.m. she woke up screaming with a fever...and a few hours later our AC died. Perfect. The fever lasted a full 24 hours but finally seems to have gone away. But it's still very hot here for one more night!
Back to her nightly ritual, although when you have a temp of 103 you get to go back and play with purses again before bed...with a head full of wet (and hopefully cooling) hair pulled back in a ponytail to retain the moisture. Without AC you have to be creative! Thankfully she has a ceiling fan in her room, for those of you who might be questioning why we didn't just abandon ship and check into a hotel.
Helping Mommy clean up while Daddy runs back and forth from Home Depot trying to fix the AC by himself. He gets an A for effort!
My sweet little hot potato. She was out like a light Saturday night...
...but tonight was a different story. Here she is after 2 hours of refusing to sleep, and so happy that Mommy just gave up and brought her downstairs for a visit with Daddy.
VICTORY!
This could be a long night...
