Makin up for missing Daddy

We missed Daddy so much last weekend, that we packed in as much activity as possible together THIS weekend! Saturday morning found us back at the pool for our swim lesson.

The noodle swim kicked off what ended up being 30 minutes of Hadley just floating around while Daddy tried to get her to exert ANY energy. Usually she's a kicking and paddling fool, but I think she was just excited to chill in the pool with Dad.

Here Hadley is supposed to be learning how to be comfortable on her back...done.

Had LOVES when Daddy flips her over from her back to her tummy. When Mommy tried to do this last week, Hadley landed face down in the water...oops!

There MIGHT have been a flutter kick in there...

Hadley doing the bare minimum

But we think she knew what was to come just a couple of hours later and was strategically conserving her energy for....

BABY DISCO!!!!

We were so excited to check out Baby Loves Disco after hearing how fun it was from friends, and it did not disappoint. Hadley enjoyed lots of dancing, the bubble machine, the fun disco ball and crazy lights, and of course the balloon animal guy.

Mom's friend, Jessica, and Hadley's friend, Sophie, getting ready to boogie...while the Dad's worked up the courage to get out on the dance floor.

The camera flash takes away the fun ambiance, but here we are gettin our groove on. Nothing says "Disco" like blue corduroys and a cable knit sweater! You can take the baby out of the Gap...

Dad and Had hit the dance floor!

Ahh....much better!

Hadley SO happy to be under the bubble machine with Mommy

After passing out from exhaustion in the car on the way home, we decided to just drive straight to Home Depot to pick up the Griffin family Christmas tree. Maybe next year we'll chop our own down...ok, I doubt it.

Hadley stared on in SUCH excitement as Daddy put the tree up (you'll have to wait for pictures of the finished product until we track down some more ornament hooks and finish the trimming).

Had was so filled with holiday cheer, she didn't even mind getting netted by Daddy!

On Sunday Hadley had a tough time at the church nursery...clearly missing us :) But was cheered right up with a visit from our friends, Meg and Michael, and their son, Matthew. Hadley was nice enough to bust out one of her old toys from storage so Matthew could have some fun too.
