Second biggest weekend in Hadley's life!

This weekend was a BIG one for little Had...her last as an infant :( The family came in to help us celebrate Had's first birthday and watch her be dedicated at church!

Hadley proudly modeling her new chair from Grandmommy and Granddaddy...a rare moment where she actually sat still, instead of throwing herself off face first, over and over and over again. She thought this was hilarious. We all agreed this was a little dangerous.

Hadley brought 3 of her grandparents to Gymboree on Friday so they could see her in action and truly understand what all the fuss is about.

Friday afternoon and already pooped...and we only opened family presents.

SATURDAY...

BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Had's first cupcake. Mom and Dad were super excited and Had was a little unsure.

After promptly letting go it was up to Dad to try to give her a taste of the sugary goodness.

Yeah...not really getting what's so great about the G'town cupcakes Mom's been talking up all week.

In came Hannah to give a tutorial on how to eat a cupcake to see if that would help.

Had was not swayed.

She's found she can get out of any unfavorable situation with this adorable move, and this time was no exception.

Back to the party. Had was LOVING it!

Olivia lent her mom Emily's lap to Had for a bit.

So pooped...time for bed. Best party ever!

SUNDAY...

We all packed up and drove out to Church to have Hadley dedicated. In a short and simple, yet meaningful, ceremony, the Pastor holds the babies, introduces them, says a few words, prays for them, etc...

...and here's Mom consoling Hadley after she burst into tears at the thought of being handed over. Apparently the look I gave was one of utter disbelief! SO unlike her...and as such, SO hilarious.

After pulling herself together, she was all smiles as she posed with the family.

Can't help but show off how happy and proud Aunt Steph looks with little Had :)

"So hey...how was your weekend? Mine? Oh, well, you know...the whole fam flew in, threw me a party, took me out to eat a bunch, and gave me lots of presents. This one guy at church did make me cry when he tried to take me away from Daddy, but it's all good. So, I gotta roll cause Mom ordered me some sweet chicken tenders and I'm WAY overdue for a nap. Love ya tons!"
