November 19th Girls!

On Monday, Had and I flew to Vermont to spend a few days in the beautiful middle of nowhere with our friends, Nikki, Ralph, and Delaney! Nikki, Ralph, and I have known each other since college, and Hadley and Delaney were born on the same day. This was the second time they got to see each other, but this time for 4 days!

Who knew the flight to Albany, NY at noon on a weekday would be empty? ;) Hadley took advantage of her own seat.

With strict instructions to make sure Hadley left Vermont a self-feeder like Delaney, Nikki somehow turned her into one at their first dinner together! Mom looked like quite the liar...must have had something to do with watching Delaney eat and wanting to do the same thing. Whatever works!

Nikki practicing, and the girls getting used to each other on the first day.

Insta-friends, Delaney showing Hadley around her playroom.

Hadley looking super-wee, and Delaney perhaps a little unsure about sharing her Mommy, but Nikki looking like a natural!

TUBBY TIME!

"I guess they don't have water coolers in VA...I don't know why she thinks that is so cool..."

Scout, you can run and you can hide, but Hadley will find you. It's clear to me now as I watched Hadley stalk Scout for 4 days, that this girl needs a dog!

Hadley in her fall coat...a little unsure whether the coat was absolutely necessary for this particular outing.

Gratuitous cute playroom shot in her red corduroy embroidered Dalmatian overalls.

Meal time cuteness

The girls just randomly crawled over to the ottoman and started banging away on it together. SO CUTE!

Morning cuteness

Music Together! Would have LOVED to have gotten this picture from the other side. Delaney let Hadley tag along to her weekly music together class. SO FUN

Making "music" with wooden spoons and ice trays...at a class Delaney's mom paid for...no wonder their looks of confusion :) Nikki wasn't amused!

They may live in Vermont and Virginia, but it's clear where their allegiances lie!

Delaney sitting adorably in HER chair...until Hadley decides that she needs to sit there...

"Seriously Layton? You're going to just let her push me off my chair? Why are you and Mommy laughing?! THIS ISN'T FUNNY! Do I look amused?!"

"VICTORY!!"

Despite the chair heist, Delaney still shares her toys with Hadley

On Wednesday it SNOWED! So we took the girls to the park. Hadley spotted some boys playing football aross the way and couldn't take her eyes off of them...

LITERALLY! I'm concerned.

They (and you) are not supposed to see the Mommy holding this scene together.

Hmmm...Hadley looks a lot more awake than Delaney. That's right, because she decided she'd start her day of travel at 5:30 A.M.! Awesome...

Back to D.C. after having SO MUCH FUN! Happy to see Daddy and sleep in her crib, but sad to leave her best buddy :( We'll definitely be making this an annual trip, until we convince them to move back to Philly!
