The Zoo: 1, The Griffins: 0

In the history of bad decisions, deciding that the Saturday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend was THE day to go to the zoo is definitely one of them. All mom's idea/fault. It was our quickest and most exhausting trip to the zoo, as well as our first as parents. Additionally, I admit that I am a person of very little patience, so maneuvering amongst a thousand oblivious people, as Dad tried to keep up with the stroller, was just a recipe for disaster. And don't even get me started on the parents who were walking around smoking while holding their children in a NO SMOKING zoo! But what matters most is that Hadley got to see, smell, and hear some new stuff! Not a lot though...a cow, an orangutan, and a prairie dog. Yup...that's about it before we'd had enough. We'll be back in the fall...on a WEEK DAY! Such rookies...
